During the past few months, I have been learning how to develop iOS applications. I have been very impressed with XCode and the Objective C language. My goal is to create an iOS app to help non-profit organizations get help from people around the world.
Working on this application, I found myself learning a lot about Open Source technologies like Node.js, Express, Socket.IO and MongoDB. These technolgies represent the present and future of web development. I heard a really good talk from an IT director at LinkedIn where he presented the technology stack used at Linked which included, MongoDB, Node.js and JSON templates.
I will try to write as much as can about my learning path on this page and also about the web cast or youtube videos that I have found incredibly useful to learn about this technologies.
